About Abbeydale Brewery

Abbeydale is committed to the production of fine beers and ales for cask conditioning in outlets with a discriminating clientele. Furthermore, the Abbeydale Brewery is a STEAM BREWERY. Visit the Abbeydale website for more information.
All Abbeydale output is "real ale" of the highest order. The beers are produced without compromise, with quality and flavour being unmarred by unnecessary additives and bulking ingredients, and are free from "preserving" after-treatments.

Our products are frequent CAMRA award winners and are held in high esteem by festival attendees. Some of our brews are produced occasionally as part of the Beer Works Range. Feel free to contact us if you are intereseted in having a 'special' made.

Abbeydale Brewery Beers
| Last Rites | ABV 11%, A premium brew, unusually pale in colour and full of rich barley flavour to tease and satisfy the palate. At 11% alcohol by volume, Last Rites is more of a wine than a beer and its drinking should therefore be treated with the respect. | | | Black Mass | ABV 6.66% , A five pointed grist - Maris Otter Pale Ale malt, Malted Wheat, Chocolate Malt, Roast Barley and Cereal and with a wickedly-secret combination of hops
make this another best seller for the cognoscenti. | | | Archangel | ABV 4.7%, Made using single-malt, MOPA and Brammling Cross hops. Massively popular, a lovely clean-tasting top-fermented beer with simple yet distinctive flavour reminiscent of a fine Belgian beer. Pastoral apple-peel and grassy. | | | Dark Angel | ABV 4.7% (OG 1047), Dark Angel is the sister brew to Archangel, but a combination of MOPA and dark malts gives the rich flavour to a brew which is in other respects so like Archangel | | | Moonshine | ABV 4.3%, An immediate hit, the very first batch won the "Beer of The festival" prize at Sheffield Beer Festival. A single varietal beer based on the ubiquitous Maris Otter Pale Ale malt grist with a hint of malted wheat and Washington Willammett hops. | | | Abbeydale Brimstone | ABV 3.9%, Russet brown beer made with Amarillo hops. The flavours are of coffee, toffee and liquorice with underlying spices, especially cloves. There is bitterness throughout, growing during the long finish. A refreshing take on a classic English bitter. | | | Matins | ABV 3.6%, Beer of the Festival, Plymouth CAMRA 1999. A liquid breakfast since the Grist has a Muesli base with Maris Otter Pale Ale malt and malted wheat. Hops are the American Liberty variety. Full bodied from the Muesli with a quite flowery aroma. | | | Sanctuary | ABV 4.2% | | | Temptation | ABV 4.5% | |
