About Wye Valley Brewery

The Brewery produces three products under the Wye Valley Brewery banner and also a selection of seasonal ales under the 'Dorothy Goodbody' trade mark. We brew using traditional methods and use only the finest ingredients available (inclusing local hops).

The brewery has won two prestigious awards in the last year: A 'Bronze' and 'Best in Class' at the CAMRA Winter Beer Festival in Manchester for Dorothy Goodbody's Wholesome Stout' and beer of the Festival at Cardiff (2nd year running) with 'Butty Bach'.

Wye Valley Brewery Beers

Butty Bach	ABV 4.5% (OG 1045), A burnished gold premium ale. Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt with English Golding and Fuggles Hops. Twice winner of Beer of the Festival award at Cardiff.
Hereford Pale Ale (HPA)	ABV 4% (OG 1040), A delightful straw coloured ale with a hint of sweetness before a dry finish. Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt and Wheat malt. English Target and Goldings hops.
Wye Valley Bitter	ABV 3.5%, A light hoppy session bitter with a clean crisp after taste. Ingredients: Maris Otter quality pale malt, Wheat and Crystal Malt. English Target and Goldings Hops.
Dorothy Goodbody's Wholesome Stout	ABV 4.6%, One of the best Stout's at the Great British Beer Festival 2000, Ingredients: Quality pale malt, with roasted barley. Producing the rich dark colour with flaked barley for a creamy head. Irish Northdown hops give a special dry, resinous taste.
Dorothy Goodbody's Christmas Ale	ABV 6.0%, A very strong, traditional brew combining the highest quality ingredients with the supreme craftsmanship of brewing. Available from Mid-November to December.
Dorothy Goodbody's Springtime Ale	ABV 4.0%, Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt with Chocolate malt for a hint of colour and Wheat malt for a fullness and fine head. Flavoured using Northdown hops for bitterness and English Golddings for full hop aroma. Available in March, April and May.
Dorothy Goodbody's Summertime Ale	ABV 4.2%, Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt, with Amber and Wheat malts for full flavour and golden glow. Flavoured with the fines English hops - Target, Goldings and Fuggles. Available in June, July and August.
Dorothy Goodbody's Autumn Delight	ABV 4.4%, Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt is blended with Crystal malt and roasted barley for a dry, full flavour and rich colour. Using new season Challenger and Fuggles gives Autumn Delight the unmistakable bouquet of these premier English hops.
Dorothy Goodbody's Winter Tipple	ABV 4.7%, Ingredients: Pale, Crystal, Amber and Wheat malts combine to give the whole range of malt flavours in a fullbodied, all malt brew. Flavoured with Target and Fuggles hops to give a truly balanced brew. Available December, January and February.
Dorothy Goodbody's Traditional Bitter	ABV 3.8%, Ingredients: Wheat malt, Maris Otter pale malt, Crystal malt, English Target and Goldings hops blending to produce a light hoppy straw coloured traditional bitter. Available all year.
